San Francisco Department of Public Health & National Donate Life Month Campaign

Organ and tissue donation life-giving acts recognized worldwide as expression of compassion to those in need that save thousands of lives each year.

The San Francisco Department of Public Health is committed to supporting Donor Network West in its efforts to provide community education, and in particular in the implementation of AB 1967 mandating health and science classes to include education about organ and tissue donation and about the HIV Organ Policy Equity (HOPE) Act which allows organ transplants between HIV positive individuals.

In National Donate Life Month, the month of April 2017 we encourage Californians to register to be organ and tissue donors and talk to their family about their choice.

Heal and save lives by registering to be an organ donor.
