My father, Quentin Simeone, was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in April 2014. There is no cure for this disease, and there is little control over its progression.
However, with a double lung transplant, he can live a very normal life and continue to be the most wonderful Nonno (grandfather) a little boy could ask for. It feels helpless living across the country from him. I can’t even see him often enough to get in all the extra time I want to.
In an effort to help him and thousands others, I encourage my friends, family and all the other selfless human beings to register as an organ donor. You can save a life–one that happens to be very special to me.
