Our loved and cherished friend, Andre Tate was a unique man. This joyful, happy young man was raised in Pasadena, California, graduating from John Muir High in 1976, where he was crowned homecoming king. After graduation, he decided to dedicate his life to service. He joined the United States Air Force for four years, and then moved on to a career in Law Enforcement that spanned 30 years. He also later furthered his education by completing his BA in Criminal Justice at the University of LaVerne.
Andre was a good man of honor, class, integrity, soft spoken, loving and touched everyone he met with his infectious sense of humor and huge smile. He was cool, charming, humble, smart and witty, with a big heart and warm spirit. He loved children and they adored him!! He provided the time, effort and energy to do what he could to make a profound difference in these children’s lives. He gave of himself so selflessly.
Now, even in his passing, he continues to give. Andre was a registered donor. Andre’s family hopes that you will join them in carrying on Andre’s legacy of giving the gift to save or enhance the lives of others by becoming a donor.
His heroic life accomplishments and all that he shared with those fortunate enough to have known him will always be remembered. He is and will always be a hero.
