Thank you for your interest in signing up to be an organ, eye and tissue donor in California. The need is urgent:
- California ranks first among all states with more than 21,000 men, women and children on the organ transplant waiting list.
- Of those on the transplant list in California, 84% are in need of a life-saving kidney.
- On average, 21 people die each day (more than 7,600 a year) in the U.S. because the organ they needed did not come available for transplant in time.
YOU can help us in our fight to give more people on the waiting list hope that they too, will get their second chance at life. Below, we have outlined the number of individuals who are waiting for a life-saving transplant in the counties I serve.
